11th UNAOC Global Forum

Humanism, Hope, and Action: Prof. Azzouzi’s Address at the 11th UNAOC Global Forum
Prof. Abdelhak Azzouzi had the honor of participating to the 11th Global Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations, which took place in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, from 14 to 15 December 2025. The overarching theme of the event was “UNAOC: Two Decades of Dialogue for Humanity: Advancing a New Era of Mutual Respect and Understanding in a Multipolar World.” In his address, delivered in the presence of several international figures including the United Nations Secretary-General, Prof. Abdelhak Azzouzi stated that the United Nations Chair for the Alliance of Civilizations constitutes, in a way, our common good—devoted to present and future generations. Since its creation, it has continued to multiply initiatives, innovations, and scientific outputs, mobilizing and bringing into synergy professors, researchers, students, intellectuals, and statesmen. Times are hard, yet within our Chair at the Euromed University of Fez, and with the support of UNAOC, we are convinced that the future can only be brighter. We have no other choice when we are the bearers of this magnificent project, nourished by humanism, resolve, and hope. EUROMED, through the “United Nations Chair for the Alliance of Civilizations”, by taking this initiative, solemnly attests to its determination to give tangible reality to the vocation with which His Majesty King Mohammed VI has invested, as a University dedicated to training in the values of dialogue, peace, and the recognition of diversity that lies at the heart of all civilizations.
