Participation of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations Chair in the ILO’s Work on the Elimination of Child Labour, Organized Under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI
Professor Abdelhak Azzouzi, President of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations Chair at Euromed University of Fez, took part on Thursday, 12 February 2026, at the Palais des Congrès in Marrakech, in the plenary session entitled: “Faith, Dignity, and Shared Responsibility: Mobilizing Interreligious Dialogue to End Child Labour”, organized within the framework of the Sixth Global Conference of the International Labour Organization (ILO) on the elimination of child labour.
This event, co-organized by KAICIID and the Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of Morocco to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva, brought together senior officials from international organizations, ministers, ambassadors, representatives of public authorities, as well as numerous religious figures from Abrahamic traditions.
As an academic and active participant in interreligious dialogue, Professor Azzouzi concluded the event with a lecture dedicated to the theme.
This fully aligns with the mission of the Chair, which aims to promote dialogue among civilizations and religions in the service of peace, social cohesion, and the protection of human rights, particularly those of children.
