The inauguration took place in a warm yet solemn atmosphere, attended by 1,900 participants from around the world. This Chair, in the words of Mr. Angel-Miguel Moratinos, High Representative of the United Nations for the Alliance of Civilizations, is the first of its kind in the world to be officially recognized by the United Nations. It is chaired by Professor Abdelhak Azzouzi, a member of the Board of Directors of the EUROMED University of Fes.
