The United Nations Chair for the Alliance of Civilizations, represented by its President Prof. Abdelhak Azzouzi, participated in ANNA LINDH FORUM 2025<\/em>, which brought together some 1,000 participants from 43 countries across the Euro-Mediterranean region: civil society entities, young leaders, media, influential personalities, representatives of public authorities and institutions, public policy-makers and other relevant stakeholders. Participants shared ideas, co-created workable solutions and engaged in transformative discussions in the field of intercultural dialogue. This edition proved that constructive dialogue, based on knowledge and innovation, can lead to practical solutions, inspire resilience and guide achievable change.<\/p>\n

Subsequently, the United Nations Chair for the Alliance of Civilizations, represented by its President Prof. Abdelhak Azzouzi, took part in the Second Parliamentary Conference on Interfaith Dialogue held in Rome. Organized by the Italien Parliament<\/em> and the Inter-Parliamentary Union <\/em>(IPU), with the support of Religions for Peace<\/em>, it was held at the Italian Parliament headquarters from June 19 to 21, 2025 – the jubilee year declared by Pope Francis. All participants were received by Pope LEO XIV at the Vatican headquarters.<\/p>\n

The Conference brought together parliamentarians and representatives of governments, religions, faiths, civil society, the United Nations (UN), international organizations and academia to engage in dialogue on best practices and challenges for promoting sustainable peace, human rights, democracy, good governance and inclusive societies. At the same time, participants sought to identify areas for joint action. Involving different stakeholders in dialogue and cooperation around issues of peace, justice and coexistence is an important element of the ecosystem approach adopted by the IPU in all its activities.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
