In his speech a few days ago at the 10th<\/sup> Global Forum of the Alliance of Civilizations, held in Cascais near Lisbon, Mr. Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, concluded by expressing Morocco\u2019s satisfaction with the launch of the Alliance of Civilizations Chair at the Euromed University of Fes on December 6. “This Chair firmly anchors Morocco to the Alliance and the Alliance to Morocco.” Indeed, this Chair was officially inaugurated on December 6 by H.E. Miguel \u00c1ngel Moratinos, High Representative of the United Nations for the Alliance of Civilizations. It marks a major milestone in the life of our University.<\/p>

It is a truly exceptional initiative, almost unparalleled worldwide. Beyond its practical significance, its symbolic and historical impact will resonate for generations\u2014not only with us but also with future leaders, students, and teacher-researchers. Each will uphold the belief that an alliance grounded in shared values is what empowers humanity to continue striving for progress, no matter the obstacles or adverse circumstances. In this context, we recognize the profound partnership we are building between the UNAOC and the Euromed University of Fes. Both institutions have long been dedicated to fostering the fertile pathways of peace and harmonious coexistence among peoples. We are aware of the difficulties of our time, but nothing can deter those who have placed their faith in humanity and the civilizations that represent it.<\/p>

In order to maximize its effectiveness and ensure the visibility its mission requires, we have established an accredited Master\u2019s program and Doctoral training program, approved by our Ministry. Additionally, we have positioned it as both a hub for scientific output, demonstrated by the books and journals we have recently published, and a platform for dialogue, where our young students develop forward-thinking perspectives on the future of our societies. A notable example is the Forum of Young Mediterraneans, which we hosted at the Moroccan Parliament in Rabat, followed by its second edition, held in parallel with our Meetings on Rebuilding Trust.<\/p>
