December 6th and 7th, 2024

The Euromed University of Fez Meetings on the Alliance of Civilizations will be held on December 6-7, 2024. This edition, organized by the Alliance of Civilizations Chair, is occurring within a unique geopolitical and economic context. Under the central theme “Rebuilding Trust and Improving the State of the World”, it aims at restoring collective action by focusing on rebuilding trust in the future, strengthening trust within societies, and reviving trust as a key driver of international cooperation.

The Alliance of Civilizations Chair at the Euromed University of Fes echoes the Royal Directives. Alongside Euromed University students from disciplines as diverse as engineering, management, political science, architecture, biomedical engineering, economics, the human and social sciences, and law, it advances this agenda in the academic and intellectual spheres.

The establishment of this master’s program by the Chair, stems from this frequently asked question in various academic and university circles: what should be done to meet the needs for peace in a world increasingly plagued by violence and loss of values? Once again, it seems imperative to respond to this question through education, as it is the only possible way to strengthen our society’s ability to face the threats of the future.

About

The master’s program derives its originality and innovative nature from the way it synergizes historical and epistemological approaches, legal and political resources, communication and semiotics, ethics and philosophy, geopolitics, and international relations. This is all conducted through a descriptive and analytical pedagogy focused on acquiring skills related to studying the conflicting issues of our time and developing mechanisms for their resolution, as well as for promoting peace education and the values of civilizational dialogue

Career Opportunities

The master’s program is designed to train true specialists, preparing them for careers in various fields: embassies, ministries, media, businesses, NGOs, local authorities, administrative competitions, or for pursuing research and doctoral studies.

UEMF STUDENT TIMES, SPECIAL EDITION, N°2, MAY 2024

This second issue features the work of Euromed University students who organized a first-of-its-kind summit at the Moroccan Parliament on February 14, 2024 under the supervision of the Alliance of Civilizations Chair.

This groundbreaking event was organized on the sidelines of the Summit of Presidents of Parliaments and the 17th Session of Parliamentarians of the Union for the Mediterranean.

Indeed, the summit provided an excellent opportunity for these students to highlight Moroccan excellency, and particularly the Kingdom’s efforts under the enlightened command of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, to establish relations of regional exchange and integration based on shared values.
